State Bank of India (SBI) has issued notification for 300 positions of Special Management Executives, details of which can be found from my previous blog post titled: SBI Special Management Executives (SME) Exam 2014: Register Now! The focus of this blog post is on providing you the study materials for this SBI exam – the sample papers and books along with the pattern of SBI ME exam.
Selection process:
Selection process for SBI Special Management Executives consists of following two phases:
Phase-I: Written Exam (Both Objective as well as Descriptive - both online).
Phase-II: Group Discussion & Interview.
As per SBI notification, date of the Written Exam is on 19.09.2014, while date of Phase-II test would be informed subsequently to the candidates qualifying in the Phase-I test.
Let us go into details of these two phases.
Pattern:/Format of SBI Special Management Executives Exam:
This consists of two types of tests:
It is of 200 total marks, to be answered in 2 Hrs.
Questions would be set from following four sections:
i) Banking Knowledge
ii) Data Interpretation & Analysis
iii) Reasoning
iv) General Awareness
ii) Data Interpretation & Analysis
iii) Reasoning
iv) General Awareness
Descriptive Test:
It is of 50 marks, to be answered in 75 minutes.
It would test your knowledge on English and consist of questions on Letter Writing & Essay.

SBI SME Exam 2014 cut-off marks:
Cut-off marks would be decided by SBI based on the relative performance of .all the candidates. You have to qualify in each of the four test sections of Objective paper. Only if you qualify, your Descriptive test paper would be evaluated.
On qualifying the written exam you would be called for the Phase-II (i.e. Group Discussion & Interview) which is of 50 marks (GD: 20, Interview:30).

SBI Special Management Executives Exam Sample Papers:
With the knowledge on the exam pattern of SBI Management Executives exam as above, you would find that the test sections are very similar to the Bank PO exams and hence you can use the study materials (i.e. sample papers and books) for the Bank PO exams as the study material for SBI ME exam.
