ICICI Bank is coming down to NEPIF institutes on 6th/7th February in AIM, Guwahati for recruitment of students from MBA & Engineering disciplines, details of which can be found here. This is a repeat visit of ICICI Bank (they had come to recruit from NEPIF in Feb 2007 too), which speaks well of NEPIF initiative-that NEPIF was successful in organizing the event well.
Like last time too, close to 400 students (Around 120 from MBA institutes and 250 from Engineering institutes) are participating. But only a handful of them would be selected for the job offer. So how do you prepare for the recruitment event? This post is aimed at giving you the information, so that you do well in the examination.
First-A little bit about the organisation:Acronym ICICI stands for Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India. The World Bank, Government of India and representatives of Indian industry formed ICICI Limited as a development finance institution (just like IDBI and SIDBI) to provide medium-term and long-term project financing to Indian businesses in 1955.
In 1990s, ICICI founded a separate legal entity, ICICI Bank, to undertake normal banking operations - taking deposits, credit cards, car loans etc. The experiment was so successful that ICICI Ltd. itself merged into ICICI Bank in a "reverse merger" in 2002.
At present ICICI is India's largest private sector bank in market capitalization and second largest overall in terms of assets. ICICI Bank has total assets of about USD 79 Billion (end-Mar 2007), a network of over 950 branches and offices, about 3600 ATMs, and 24 million customers (as of end July 2007). ICICI Bank offers a wide range of banking products and financial services to corporate and retail customers through a variety of delivery channels and through its specialised subsidiaries and affiliates in the areas of investment banking, life and non-life insurance, venture capital and asset management.
Second-What is the selection process of ICICI Bank?ICICI conducts a 3-tier selection process:
1.0 Aptitude Test.
2.0 Group Discussion.
3.0 Interview.
On top of above, for the successful students, it also conducts Psychometric Profiling.
Third-How to prepare for these tests?
1.0 Aptitude Test (Written):
Aptitude Test of ICICI consists of following pattern:
Section 1: Verbal Reasoning (30 Questions in 10 Mins) Analogy, Comprehension
Section 2: Numerical Reasoning (20 Questions in 30 Mins)
Section 3: Figurative Questions (20 Questions in10 Mins)
Section 4: Logical Reasoning (25 Questions in 20 Mins)
Data Interpretation in 10 Questions
Data sufficiency in 15 Questions.
